The Practitioner’s Guide to UZTNA

Most Zero Trust programmes solve remote access well. Extending the same enforcement model to campus networks, operational technology, and the thousands of unmanaged devices that agent-based and identity-only tools were never built to reach is the harder engineering problem.

This guide is written for the practitioners doing that work. It covers the Universal ZTNA architecture in implementation terms: how policy is designed and applied across heterogeneous access paths, how devices are classified and continuously verified without agents, how enforcement extends into OT and IoT segments, and how a single control plane is deployed alongside existing infrastructure rather than replacing it.

It also addresses the practical realities of running this in an environment that is mid-transition, including how visibility and enforcement are maintained while an underlying sensing or monitoring platform changes.
